Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension Text through Concept-Oriented Reading Instruction (CORI)

The aim of this research is to know the implementation Concept-Oriented Reading Instruction (CORI) in improving students’ reading comprehension analytical exposition text and find out whether there a significant difference between students who were taught by using CORI those not. This used quantitative approach with experimental which was conducted at an Islamic High School Kemuja, Bangka Belitung Province. researcher purposive sampling technique two classes taken as sample. result test analyzed statistical analysis paired sample t-test independent t-test. showed that learned got higher score than did It could be seen from post-test group control group, t-obtained equal variences assumed 2.385, (2-tailed) 0.023. Since t-table (2.385 > 2.036) lower computation level (0.023 < 0.05). Based on fact above, it concluded significantly improved comprehension.
